Safeguarding & Confidentiality

I have training to keep people safe. This includes helping adults and children who are at risk; understanding domestic abuse and controlling behaviour; knowing how to respond to sexual violence; helping people who face honour-based abuse or forced marriage, and supporting male victims of abuse. These skills help me make sure people are safe and supported in a caring way.

Counselling sessions are held within the strictest of confidence. However, I am obliged to contact legal authorities if there are safeguarding concerns (risk of harm to yourself or another person) or if disclosure is required for a court order. If these concerns were to arise, I will discuss them with you.

(The Noble Quran, 94:5)

"So, surely with hardship comes ease"
